Memory information
Information regarding size and availability of
the internal memory and the changeable
data carrier. Indicates the maximum time
the memory will last at the actual unit
settings.
Hint:
The memory information takes the actual
unit settings into account (see "Technical
information - memory") If changes have just
been made that have not been stored, the
memory information for these settings are only available once the unit has returned to
normal operation, (operating "ESC" a number of times and accepting new parameters
with "Yes"). Please also see "Unit settings - Set up - Setting up principle")
The available memory is shortened under the following circumstances:
- Alarm set points/events are to be stored or monitored.
- Digital inputs are being used.
- Siganl analysis is active.
- Other groups are to be stored faster.

Functions of the LEDs

• Green LED illuminated: Unit operating normally, no fault recognised.
• Red LED flashes: Message needs acknowledgement/note is active in display (note
that if the screen saver is active the display has been switched to dark operation, or
at fault mode, for example monitored cable open circuit).

Internal memory

The saved measured values indicate signal changes and give access to previous
sequences. The large internal memory operates as a ring memory. If this is full then
the oldest data is overwritten. This means that the latest data is always available. The
measured values are not lost on power failure (internal memory buffer).
Hint:
• The memory is deleted after operating parameter changes and the memory is then
filled with new data.
• If the old data is required this should be read out either by using the serial link and
PC software or by storing it on diskette and removing this before changing any
parameters.

Function of the diskette drive/data carrier change function

Without influencing the internal memory, data packages are copied in blocks (block
size 8 Kbytes) to the diskette (3 1/2", 1,44 MB, PC formatted). A test is always done to
see if the data has been transmitted fault free to the diskette. The same occurs on
storing the data to PC using the software package available as an accessory.
The ATA flash memory card function is the same as a normal diskette.
