Opening the hood
To release the hood, pull on handle 1.

Push yellow handle 2 on the hood catch to

the left as far as it will go (palm downwards).
Lift the hood until it is automatically raised by
the pneumatic spring.
Closing the hood
Lower the bonnet and let it drop from a height
#
of approximately 8 in (20 cm).

If the hood can still be lifted slightly, open the
#
hood again and close it with a little force until
it engages correctly.
Engine oil
▌Checking the engine oil level using the on-
board computer
Requirements
The engine has been warmed up.

The vehicle is parked on a level surface.

The engine is running at idle speed.

The hood is closed.
R
The engine oil level is determined during driving.
Determining the engine oil level can take up to
30 minutes with a normal driving style and even
longer with an active driving style.
