Sonic Birdhouse Troubleshooting

The Sonic Birdhouse used to work on the dog(s) but now it doesn't.
When you test the birdhouse in test mode does it emit the tone? If yes the birdhouse is
functioning properly.
Does the birdhouse still flash green when the dog is barking? If it does the birdhouse is
still functioning properly.
How long is the birdhouse being left on for? The birdhouse is not intended for use 24
hours a day.
In rare situations the dog(s) can become desensitized to the ultrasonic sound that the
birdhouse emits. Please do not leave the birdhouse turned on all day and night, but only
during the times when the barking is more frequent: during the night, in the afternoon
when people are walking their dogs in the neighborhood, etc... It depends on the dog's
bad habit.
The Sonic Birdhouse does not have any effect on the dog(s). This product might
not work on 10% of dogs, specifically dogs whose ears may be covered or down facing.
The sound may not reach their ears enough to function properly. These dogs may
benefit more from a bark collar.
The Sonic Birdhouse will have no effect on deaf or hard of hearing dogs..
It also depends on the personality of the dog. They too can be as stubborn as humans
and even though the ultrasonic sound is unpleasant to them they are going to continue
to bark.
Another thing that can prevent the ultrasonic sound from reaching the dog is the
location that the birdhouse is set up. The speaker on the front of the birdhouse needs to
in the line of sight of the dog, or aimed at the area that they tend to bark as much as
possible.
Is the birdhouse behind a privacy fence? The ultrasonic sound will bounce off of the
fence. It will not penetrate the privacy fence and reach the dog it is intended for.
