Chapter 1: Introduction The UDT-70 is a split box portable microwave transmitter, which consists of a control unit and a RF head connected by triax cable or Fiber-Optic (optional). The control unit has a 70 MHz output connection available through which it is possible to transmit the signal to the RF head in DVB-T2, DVB-T and optionally in DVB-S2 or DVB-S modulations.
  • Page 12 The equipment is fed with AC power supply from 90 to 240 V. Its excellent design, mechanical and electronic assembly make the UDT-70 a robust and reliable solution. DVB-T2 features Its maximum output power is 3 Watt in 2 GHz and 1 Watt in the rest of the bands.
  • Page 13 46.4 Mbps. DVB-T features The RF stage of the UDT-70 transmitter is the same as the DVB-T2 one. The difference is found in the modulation part as it is commented bellow. The UDT-70 digital camera transmitter uses COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation system (2K mode).
  • Page 14 31.67 Mbps. DVB-S2 features (optional) In case the UDT-70 transmitter is needed to be used as a satellite transmitter, it features an optional IF stage in the L band , that L band output that provides a 10 MHz reference oscillator.
