Before First Use Before the first use, it is necessary to start the system with the main switch, which is located in the central part of the monoblock. It includes a protective cover that prevents unwanted manipulation of the switch. The main switch switches on the electronic circuits, which must be running continuously.
General Principles for the Operation Moving the Patient Onto the Stretcher Place the stretcher next to the patient. Lower the side rails/boards and release the straps. Load the patient according to approved medical procedures. Secure patient on the stretcher with all straps. Adjust the side rails/boards, head section and leg section to the appropriate positions.
Monoblock Operation System Activation The system is activated by briefly pressing the “-” or “+” button. Running is indicated by lights on the indicator panel. Height Positioning Use height positioning only according to the intended use of this product. The product allows a very wide range of height positions. When transporting outside the ambulance, set a suitable height for safe handling and good visual control of the patient and the surrounding terrain.

Transversely Tiltable Side Boards (Modifications M01, M02, M03, M04) When lifting the side boards upwards, the individual positions are locked automatically. Longitudinally Tiltable Side Rails (Modifications M05, M06, M07, M08) To lower the side rail, press its release button and tilt the rail parallel to the side of the stretcher always towards the leg section. To return the side rail to the vertical position, raise it all the way up to where the position will be locked automatically.
Front Swivel Wheels By unlocking the swivelling of front wheels, better manoeuvrability can be achieved, especially in narrow spaces. To unlock the swivelling, depress the pedal to the position shown below. After unlocking, push the stretcher in the desired direction. The swivel wheels will turn freely around the vertical axis.
Rear Wheels Brake To brake, depress the brake pedal as far as it will go to the wheel. To release, depress the brake pedal to the horizontal position. PATIENT’S LEGS BRAKED POSITION UNBRAKED POSITION WARNING The wheel brakes secure the monoblock against an unintentional movement. However, they do not provide sufficient protection against movement due to external forces in real conditions.
Telescopic Handle For better handling in narrow spaces, the total length of the stretcher can be shortened by inserting the telescopic handle and raising the head section. To retract the telescopic handle, turn both release levers at the same time while pushing both sides of the telescopic handle all the way until it stops.
Battery Charging The monoblock has a pair of connectors for charging with direct current from the ambulance and one connector for charging from the external charging adapter. Charging can only be performed as described below. Charging is indicated by a regular flashing of the battery capacity status indicators on the indicator panel.
Charging in the ambulance When the trolley is loaded in the ambulance, the charging connectors areconnected automatically. After the contact is established, charging will start within 10 seconds. When the charging connectors are connected, the control buttons are deactivated. It takes approximately 5 hours to charge the fully discharged battery. WARNING Charge only as described in this manual.
Charging adapter Remove the protective cover of the socket and insert the connector. Connect the charging adapter to an external mains supply. When the charging adapter is connected, the control buttons are deactivated. It takes approximately 4.5 hours to charge the fully discharged battery. When charging is complete, unplug the adapter and store it safely.
Indication Indication of the Battery Capacity Status The battery capacity status is indicated by indicators according to the scheme below. For the light indications that do not correspond to this scheme, follow the instructions in the chapter Indication of Dangerous Operating Conditions (p. 38). NOTE The fully charged new battery allows for 40–50 lifts of the bed at a load of 100 kg and an ambient temperature of 20 °C.
FLASHING TEMPERATURE SYMBOL Indication of the Unsafe Operating Conditions The light indicators help the user to identify an impending problem in time and react appropriately. The table below contains the description and instructions for the indicated operational states. Emergency Manual Mode In the event of a fault in the electronic system, the monoblock can be positioned using the emergency lever, which is located on the underside of the rear panel. The emergency lever is equipped with a safety lock that prevents the monoblock from falling unintentionally.
Lifting the Stretcher in the Emergency Mode Pull the emergency lever to its maximum position and hold the stretcher firmly. Lift the stretcher and let the undercarriage to touch down the ground and then release the lever. Raise the stretcher only to the minimum height necessary for subsequent moving the monoblock or loading it into an ambulance.

Strap Restraint System WARNING Always use all straps to secure the patient on the stretcher. An unsecured patient may fall off the stretcher and get hurt. Always secure the patient on the stretcher with all straps. Fasten the straps securely across the chest and legs.
