DEFROST CHART

QUANTITY
0.5–2 lb
Place meat on a microwave-safe dish. Touch DEFROST pad, then touch 1 pad for
Ground Meat. Touch number pads to enter weight of food. Touch START/+30 SEC.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch START/+30 SEC again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
0.5–3 lb
Place steaks or chops on a microwave-safe dish. Touch DEFROST pad, then touch 2
pad for Steaks/Chops. Touch number pads to enter weight of food. Touch START/+30
SEC. After each audible signal, turn food over and touch START/+30 SEC again. After
defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 10 to 20 minutes.
0.5–2 lb
Place poultry on a microwave-safe dish. Touch DEFROST pad, then touch 3 pad for
Boneless Poultry. Touch number pads to enter weight of food. Touch START/+30
SEC. After each audible signal, turn food over and touch START/+30 SEC again. After
defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 10 to 20 minutes.

Place roast on a microwave-safe dish. Touch DEFROST pad, then touch 5 pad for
2–4 lb
Roast. Touch number pads to enter weight of food. Touch START/+30 SEC. After
each audible signal, turn food over and touch START/+30 SEC again. After defrosting,
leave covered and let stand for 30 to 60 minutes.
2–6 cups
Place food in a microwave-safe casserole dish. Touch DEFROST pad, then touch 6 pad
1–6 cups
for Casserole/Soup. Touch number pads to enter quantity of food. Touch START/+30
SEC. After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch START/+30 SEC
again. After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
