17. CLEANING THE INFUSER

Important!
The infuser cannot be extracted while the machine is on.
1. Press the
button to turn the machine off;
2. Remove the water tank;
3. Open the infuser door on the right side of the machine;
4. Press the two colored release buttons inwards, at the same
time pulling the infuser outwards;
Frequency
Clean the cappuccino maker after use to
avoid the build-up of milk residues or
blockages.
Procedure
Place a container under the cappuccino maker and
deliver a little water for a few seconds by rotating
the steam dial to the I position.
Then turn the steam dial to the 0 position to stop
the flow of hot water.
Wait a few minutes for the steam wand to cool
down. Grip the handle of the cappuccino maker
tube firmly in one hand and with the other rotate
the cappuccino maker anticlockwise, then remove
by pulling downwards (fig. A).
Also remove the steam nozzle by pulling it
downwards (fig. B)
Make sure the two holes shown by the arrow are
not blocked. If necessary, clean with a pin (fig. C).
Wash all parts of the cappuccino maker thoroughly
with a sponge and warm water.
Replace the nozzle and put the steam/hot water
wand back on the nozzle, pushing it and turning it
upwards until it is attached.
5. Soak the infuser in water for about 5 minutes, then rinse
under the tap;

RINSE WITH WATER ONLY
NO DETERGENTS - NO DISHWASHER
6. Do not use detergents when cleaning the infuser, as they
could damage it.
7. Use the brush to remove any coffee residues left in the
infuser housing, visible through the infuser door;
8. After cleaning, replace the infuser by sliding it onto the
internal support, then push the PUSH symbol fully in until
it clicks into place;
Please note:
If the infuser is difficult to insert, before insertion, position it
correctly by pressing the two levers.
