The inside story
BMR explained:
Our BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drivers
utilise patented 'bending wave' principles
normally seen in advanced flat panel
speakers:
• BMR speaker technology is a
revolutionary high-end solution using
a single, flat panel to produce a wide
bandwidth sound with exceptional dispersion.
• BMR combines a flat NXT-type panel that with a conventional
piston-like driver to provide excellent power handling across an
ultra-wide range of frequencies.
• The compact nature of the single BMR driver allows the internal
cabinet volume to be used to excellent effect – even in a miniature
enclosure.
• Because the higher frequencies are produced by 'vibration
modes' over the BMR's entire surface, dispersion is exceptionally
wide and instruments are
reproduced much more realistically.
Increased dispersion
BMR also delivers ultra-wide 180º
sound dispersion and an increased
sound field meaning there are no
sweet-spots so it sounds great
wherever you are sitting.
The perfect finish...
Minx is finished to the highest possible standards in stunning
white or black high gloss lacquers. Easy to clean, hard to
scratch – Minx will look as amazing as it sounds for many
years to come.
How are they better?
The Min 12 and 22 are just as
compact and discreet as their
award winning predecessors, yet
both produce even better sound...
• We've used larger and more
efficient magnets which transform
more of the music into sound and require less power.
• The driver excursion has increased from 2.2mm to 4mm. The
cone can now move nearly twice as far bringing more bass, better
integration with the subwoofer and a richer sound.
• We've used our new 4th generation BMR driver, also found in
the award-winning Aeromax speakers. This new BMR driver is
more 'isotropic' than the previous version. This means that it is
more uniform in all directions, giving even better dispersion and
extended treble response. Additionally, fine-tuning BMR Modes
has resulted in smoother, more natural sound, reproducing every
last detail of music.
• The Min 22 uses the new BMR driver combined with a custom,
dedicated woofer for further improved bass handling.

Superb Subwoofers!
Cutting-edge technology is at the heart of both Minx
subwoofers. Forward firing drivers and state-of-the-art
Auxiliary Bass Radiators (ABR) combine to deliver a
room-shaking punch and efficiency for this compact design.
Performance in such a small enclosure is further optimised by
Minx's Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The DSP provides
real-time control of equalisation and dynamic range
processing for the maximum possible performance while
preventing drivers overloading and distorting.
With the X201 and X301 subwoofers we have completely re-
designed the woofers, making them more efficient and able to
handle more power, allowing them to play louder than ever!
