Building access system signal test:
This test assumes the access control system produces a constant 125KHz
signal. Activate the WCT3 while holding it near the building access device
reader.
Results:
The "125KHz" indicator on the WCT3 is illuminated.

Troubleshooting
OK, so you have completed the assembly of your WCT3 and there's some-
thing not quite right about it. We'll try to give you some help and see if we can
get it working.
The very first thing we tell our customers when they call us for help is to go
back and check that all components are installed properly, there are no solder
bridges and that all components have all the leads soldered. Over 95% of kits
returned for repair are found to have one of these problems. It is often a good
idea to have someone else check over your work as it is very common to miss
a problem you missed the first time around. It happens to me all the time.
If you are still having problems and you are not sure where to go next, check
out the next part of this section and maybe you can find the problem. Other-

be faster to just give a call and ask for hobby kit tech support. By talking to us
we can ask you some questions, have you do some checks and probably get
you going in a very short time. If you opt to go with email you will need to
send us the email and wait for us to respond with a few questions, since we
don't do long distance, or even short distance for that matter, mind reading
well and then wait for us to respond to your answer. We only work during nor-
mal business hours and the phone calls take priority so an email exchange
may take a while. We can typically get you going on the first call in a very
short time. If you stump us, which doesn't happen very often, then we may
ask you to return your WCT3 and we will do our best to correct the problem.
Read on for a few other things to try specific to the WCT3 before you give up
and call.
If no signal indication is obtained there is a problem with
the building access system.
