Modal Exciters Types 4825 & 4826
Forced cooling is required for full force-range operation of Types 4825 and 4826. The
UH 1035 200N Blower is the appropriate blower for both Type 4825 and Type 4826.
This blower is a heavy-duty – yet compact and quiet – industrial grade blower en-
suring superior reliability and durability.
An air switch is built into Types 4825 and 4826 for protection of the modal exciter
when used without forced cooling. During operation without forced cooling, the air
switch will automatically be set in a position that limits the current to the exciter by
half, effectively protecting the modal exciter against over-current. This feature is
exclusively available when Types 4825 and 4826 are used in conjunction with the
Brüel & Kjær Power Amplifiers Types 2720 and 2721.
Power Amplifier Type 2720 has been designed especially to drive Modal Exciter Type
4825 safely to full rating.
Power Amplifier Type 2721 has been designed to drive Modal Exciter Type 4826
safely to full rating.
