Appendix B: I/O Connections for the IMX8

The IMX8 Multiplexer has various connectors on its front panel. This section discusses these connectors and
their pin assignments in detail.

Cell Cable Connector

The eight cell connectors (one for each channel) are located on the IMX8 front panel, see Figure B-1. Each cell
connector is a 9-pin female D-shaped connector. The pin-layout of all eight connectors is identical. The signal
assignment for each pin is shown in Table B-1.
Most of the pins in the IMX8 cell connector are switched to pins on the potentiostat connector when the cell is
active. Only one pin is not switched: the ground pin. It is always connected to the system potentiostat's
(floating) ground.
