Read these instructions carefully and retain

Remove all packaging and any labels.

If the plug or cord is damaged it must, for

safety reasons, be replaced by Kenwood or
an authorised Kenwood repairer in order to
avoid a hazard.
To prevent damage to the kettle:
l
Avoid contact with hard surfaces and
l
objects;
Avoid knocking the glass body against the
l
tap when filling.

Do not use the kettle if it has been dropped
l
or damaged i.e. glass cracked or chipped.
Never use a damaged appliance. Get it

checked or repaired: see 'service and
customer care'.
Always use the filter and never overfill -
l
boiling water may splash out.
Avoid contact with steam coming out of the
l
spout area when pouring and out of the lid
or spout area when refilling.
Beware: the glass body of the kettle will get
l
hot during operation.
The heating element surface is subject to
l
residual heat after use.
Never let the cord hang down where a child

could grab it.
Always unplug your kettle when not
l
in use.
Never put the kettle, powerbase, cord or
l
plug in liquid.
Caution: Do not operate the kettle on an
l
inclined surface.
