Filling

Use only fountain pen ink. Dip-pen ink may contain particles that can clog the feed.

Cleaning

Before first use, insert the nib in water containing a drop of washing-up liquid (dish soap) or fountain pen
cleaning solution, and fill and empty the pen a few times to clean any residual oil from the nib. Repeat with
clean water to rinse.
Before storing for long periods clean the pen to remove any ink.
The piston mechanism can be removed by unscrewing the end ring, and carefully pulling it out.

Swan Manga Pen
To fill, hold the barrel and twist the end cap anti-clockwise till the
piston goes to the top of the pen. Insert the nib in an ink bottle.
Twist the end cap clockwise till the piston reaches its limit and
clicks. Remove the pen from the ink.
This pen is not suitable for cartridges or a converter.

  • Page 2 The nib is perfect for drawing detail and fine lines, it is a ‘soft’ nib suitable for drawing different widths of lines. Use slightly more pressure for a thicker line. The nib is delicate and can easily be ‘sprung’. If the nib stops writing despite ink in the feed, turn it upside down and press down gently down on the paper with the tip of the nib.
