8. Press the up or down arrow to select ENTRY or EDIT, then press [Menu].
You hear two quick tones when the entry has been successfully made.
Selecting EDIT takes you back to Step 2. Press [End] when you have
finished entering data.
NOTES:
• To place an outside line call you will need to enter an Outside Line Access
Code if it is not programmed in the Directory with the number.
• When entering a number you may wish to include an outside line access
code or a pause in the dial string. Pauses between the outside line access
code and the outside number are not normally required, however, they may
be entered by pressing [FEAT] + [MENU/HOLD] + a digit between 1 and
9 to indicate the duration of the pause in seconds.
• If you have incorrectly entered a digit, press [Clear] to delete it. The cursor
will move back by one digit every time you press [Clear]. Press and hold
[Clear] for more than one second to delete the whole line.
• Pressing [Clear] when the middle line shows no digits takes you back to
the previous menu screen.
• You can insert a pause when you register a phone number.
• You can register a group name to a Directory group.
• If you try to make an entry when 500 entries are already registered, you
will hear a warning tone and the Portable Station displays, 'ENTRY
FAILED: MEMORY FULL'. The Portable Station will go back to the idle
state in two seconds.

Editing an Entry in the Directory

You can edit a selected entry in the Directory.
1. Search and select an entry you wish to edit.
2. Press [Menu].
3. Press [Menu]. The previously entered name will be displayed. If you do
not have to edit the name, skip to Step 5.
