We congratulate you on your choice of the SUBAL CD5MK4 underwater housing for the Canon 5D Mark IV. During the conception and design of the housing, considerable attention was directed towards the application of advantages and unique features of the state-of-the art 7D camera technology, making them available to the underwa- ter photographer for the first time. -
Page 4: Use And Maintainance Of O-Rings
The O-ring of the lid and especially also the front port O-ring should be removed. Please note that the especially soft quality of the original SUBAL O-ring ma- terial looses elasticity prematurely if it is permanently compressed. So, if you Only use original SUBAL-spare parts and SUBAL-accessories. -

Do not forcefully turn the levers otherwise damage could occur. The SUBAL CD5MK4 accepts gears with 88 teeth and with small change also with 80 teeth! Place the housing on a flat supporting surface with the front surface of the port downwards. -

Lift the lid slowly and carefully to avoid water drips onto the camera. Fig. 9 Fig. 10 Now upright the housing and pull out the camera a little bit to enable you to remove the hotshoe connector if provided. Remove the camera. Some big lenses have to be removed before the camera can be pulled out of the housing. -

Slide the camera into installed, the white dot or the SUBAL-logo is aligned with the middle of the the housing on the mounting rails. Lock the camera support saddle with the housing. -

Therefore a focus gear is required (not possible with all lenses). A wide range of perfected strobearms are available for the combination of a SUB- AL CD5MK4 housing with SUBAL flash housings and strobes of many manufacturers.
