Holding the hedge trimmer The unit hasbotha frontandrearhandle.Withtheblade directed awayfromyou, hold the unit by both handles. The switchleverinthefronthandle can be activated on any of the three sides, giving you many choices for a comfortable grip when performing cutting operations (Fig. 4, 5 & 6). WARNING: Always keep both hands on the hedge trimmer handles.

To Start The Hedge Trimmer Your hedge trimmerisequippedwith twoswitch levers.Both switchleversneedto be pressed for the hedge trimmer to start. After the battery pack is mounted, press the “On/Off” button; depress and hold the switch lever in the front handle and pressthe lock-off button and the switchleverintherear handle at the same time to start thehedge trimmer.

Side Cutting When trimming the sides of the hedge, begin at the bottom and cut upwards (see Fig. 8).Trimthe side of a hedge so that it will be slight narrower at the top. Thisshape will expose more of thehedge, resulting in a more uniform growth.
