3. Align the bulge on the extended-reach hedge trimmer shaft with the arrow on the coupler (Fig.6a) and push the extended-reach hedge trimmer shaft into the coupler until you hear a clear“click”sound. 4. Pull the shaft of the hedge trimmer to verify that it is securely locked into the coupler.
REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT FROM THE POWER HEAD 1. Stop the motor and remove the battery pack. 2. Loosen the wing knob. 3. Press the shaft-release button and,with the button pressed,pull or twist the extended-reach hedge trimmer shaft out of the coupler to separate it from the power head.

TRANSMISSION GEARS LUBRICATION The transmission gears in the gear case need to be lubricated periodically with gear grease.Check the gear case grease lever approximately every 50hours of operation by removing the sealing screw on the gear case.There are three sealing screws:one on the side and two on the top.
