Model ESFR-25
Suppression Mode Fire Sprinkler Protection
For Storage In Refrigerated Areas
General
Description
The Model ESFR-25/WilFlow Freezer
Storage System is the outcome of a
collective technological effort between
Factory Mutual Research Corporation,
JRW Technologies, Inc., and Tyco Fire
Products. The system (Ref. Figure 1) is
intended for use in protecting high-
piled storage (e.g., palletized, solid
piled, or rack) within refrigerated ar-
eas. Without the need for a dry-pipe
system and/or in-rack sprinkler re-
quirements, the ESFR-25/WilFlow
Freezer Storage System provides
"suppression mode" versus "control
mode" fire protection, which had not
previously been available for refriger-
ated areas.
— IMPORTANT —
Tyco Fire Products requires that
installing contractors of the
ESFR-25/WilFlow Freezer Stor-
age System utilizing WilFlow
Fluid "B" be certified in proper
design, fabrication, installation,
and maintenance of the system.
Certification includes reference
to the Contractors Manual enti-
tled "Design, Installation, Fabri-
cation, and Maintenance of the
ESFR-25/Wilflow Freezer Stor-
age System Using Tyco Fire
Products
ESFR-25/WilFlow
Sprinklers" dated July 2002. Con-
tact your local Tyco Fire Prod-
ucts sales representative for
more details.
Individuals responsible for the
design, fabrication, installation,
or maintenance of the ESFR-
25/Wilflow Freezer Storage Sys-
tem utilizing WilFlow Fluid "B"
must have an overall under-
standing of the system.
