INFORMATION: The expanders determine the level of sup port. We recommend that you gradually adjust and try out the required level of sup port with one expander. The second expander remains in the parking position. If the level of support needs to be higher, the second expander can be used in addition.
Close the joint cover, taking care that the lace does not get caught in the cover. Put on the magnetic adjustment wheel. Repeat all steps on the opposite side of the body for the second joint unit, beginning with one expander. 11 Initial operation 11.1 Application ►...

Position the product in front of the body with the chest strap and waist strap opened for application. Apply the product like a backpack, putting the arms through the shoulder straps. Position the two shoulder straps on the shoulders. Close the clip fastener on the waist strap.
Page 20
Pull the waist strap forward by both ends and tighten it. INFORMATION: The waist strap sits above the buttocks and at the height of the pelvis. The strap must not slide down during use! Optional: Reposition and tighten the belt as needed.
Page 21
INFORMATION: The shoulder straps lie loosely on the shoulders and do not interfere with raising the arms. The waist strap stays in position and is not pulled up by excessively tight shoulder straps when the arms are raised. If the shoulder straps fit too tightly, tilt the strap clip to loosen the strap.
Page 22
Pull up on the pull loop and carefully unhook the magnetic closure. Pull down on the pull loop on the arm shell while moving the left arm in front of the body over the closure. Position the upper arm in the centre of the arm shell.
Page 23
Use the pull loop to engage the magnetic clos ure in the hook on the arm shell. Make sure that the magnetic closure engages fully. Adjust the hook-and-loop closures of the arm shell strap to adapt the strap circumference on the upper arm.
Centre the back plate between the shoulder blades. The back plate should not chafe. 11.2 Fitting ► CAUTION! Deploy the following staff for this work: Qualified personnel The product is individually adapted to the user by trained, qualified personnel. Before using the product, adjustment and instruction in its use are performed by trained, qualified personnel.

– ► The user is wearing the product. Adjust ► The product is not being worn. Adjustment ment is performed by qualified personnel. is performed by the user. 1) Attach the magnetic adjustment wheel to the joint unit. 2) Individually adapt the level of support to the user on the joint unit. INFORMATION: Turning the screw clockwise (+) increases the level of support, and turning it counter-clockwise (-) decreases the level of support.
Page 26
Optional: If the user believes the level of support needs to be higher, the optional second expander can be used. In this case, repeat the steps in the "Installing the expanders" section (see Page 14).
11.2.2 Adjusting the lap belt Close the clip fastener on the waist strap. Pull the waist strap forward by both ends and tighten it. INFORMATION: The waist strap sits above the buttocks and at the height of the pelvis. The belt must not slide down during use! Reposition and tighten the belt as needed.
Page 28
Adjustment: The waist strap sits over the buttocks on the iliac crest. The permissible range is marked in the illustration that follows. Adjustment: The ball holders are fixed vertically to the shoulder joint and may be slanted out wards (V-shape) depending on the shape of the torso. The hands swing through freely.
Page 29
> Take off the product for the horizontal alignment of the adjustment units. 1) Compress the locking clip (previous illustration, item 1) from above and disengage the lug of the clip. 2) Pull the clip out of the adjustment unit (previous illustration, item 2). 3) Reposition the adjustment unit with the ball holder on the waist band.
11.2.3 Adjusting the fit of the joint unit Adjustment: The upper edge of the joint unit is at shoulder height when the product is being worn. > Adjust the height of the joint units while the product is not being worn. 1) Loosen the fixing nut.
Page 31
1) Determine the length of the cover according to the threaded bar and shorten it using scissors. 2) Put the open side of the cover over the threaded bar.
11.2.4 Positioning the back plate Adjustment: The back plate is centred between the shoulder blades. > The product has been applied. 1) Tilt the strap clip on the back strap to loosen the strap. 2) Tighten the back strap. 3) Check the fit of the back plate.
11.2.5 Adjusting the lace Adjustment: The lace forms a widely opened V-shape between the shoulder blades. The fit of the expander covers can be adjusted using the lace. Tightening the lace brings the expander covers closer to the body. 1) To shorten the lace, tighten the ends of it with one hand. 2) Use the other hand to slide the upper section of the pull clamp up, making sure the lace is positioned symmetrically.
