Dangers in handling the VETTER SmartTarget

Risk of injuries from faults in the assistance system!
Soiling or icing of the SmartTarget pose the danger of faults or damage to the assistance system.
This can cause dangerous situations and severe injuries.
▪ Ensure that the safety screen of the laser module is always undamaged, unsoiled and free of ice.
▪ Check that the assistance system functions properly before starting work.
CAUTION!
Risk of dazzling from laser beams!
The laser target function uses laser beams up to class 1M. There is a risk of dazzling.
There is also a risk of damage to the eyes if you look deliberately into the beam path for a longer
period of time.
▪ Do not look into the beam or observe the beam directly with optical instruments
(e.g. magnifier or binoculars).
WARNING!
Material damage from incorrect installation
Incorrectly routed cables can be damaged due to mechanical effects such as tension, friction or
pinching. Defective cables can lead to short circuits and cause electronic faults, system failure or
cable fires. Cable fires or failure of the assistance system can cause injuries and burns or trans-
portation accidents.
▪ The electrical system and the cable leads may only be connected by a qualified electrician.
▪ Protect the cable connections from damage.
▪ Comply with the maintenance intervals
