Check_MK rack1 Mark III - Manual
53 / 61
15. RAID administration
Your device has two hard drive bays at the front of its housing, which are marked with the numbers 1
and 2. The hard drives within these bays are combined in a RAID-1 group (mirror), meaning your data is
stored redundantly on both drives. If one of the hard drives fails, the data will continue to be available
on the second one.
15.1 Administration in web interface
You can view the state of the RAID in the web interface of your device. To do this, select the item RAID
setup in the main menu of the web interface. This screen also gives you the option to repair the RAID if
necessary.
15.2 Exchanging a defective hard drive
If a hard drive is detected as being defective, this will be displayed in the web interface with defective.
On the actual device, depending on the nature of the error, this will be shown by a blue flashing LED at
the hard drive bay.
