• If you find visible damage on the kettle or the power cord
(6), switch off the device immediately, remove the plug from
the power socket and contact the service department (see
'Warranty information' section).
• Only plug the base (7) into a power socket that is properly
installed and easily accessible and whose mains voltage
corresponds with the rating plate specifications. The user
does not have to do anything to switch the product between
50 and 60 Hz. The product is suitable for both 50 and
60 Hz supplies. Once the device is plugged in, the power
socket must be kept easily accessible so that the plug can be
pulled out quickly in an emergency.
• Do not spill liquid on the plug for the device.
• Never immerse the base (7) in water or any other liquid. If
liquid enters into the base (7), immediately remove the plug
from the power socket and contact the service department
(see 'Warranty information' section).
DANGER of fire
• Fill the kettle (8) with a minimum of 0.5 litres of water. If you
do not pour in enough water, there is a risk of fire due to
overheating.
• Keep the kettle at least 50 cm away from flammable and
combustible materials. There is a risk of fire.
