Problem
Motor fails to start when
switch trigger is
depressed.
Motor stops while switch
trigger is depressed.
Bar and chain running
hot and smoking.
Motor runs, but chain is not
rotating.

Battery is not secure.

Check chain tension for
over tight condition.

Solution
To secure the battery pack, make sure the bat-
tery is fully seated and the latch on the tool is
snapped into place.
Charge the battery pack according to the in-
structions included with your model.
Release switch trigger, wait several seconds,
then depress trigger again. Motor should re-
start. If it doesn't, remove battery pack, reinstall
battery pack, then try again.

Check oil tank.
Retension chain, Refer to Chain Tension
earlier in this manual.
Refer to Assembling the Bar and Chain
earlier in this manual.
Inspect guide bar and chain for damage.
