ZoneVu ZVK-77D Installation Manual

To obtain the optimum performance from your ZVK-
77D follow the installation guidelines below.

Unpack the ZVK-77D and check you have
•
ZVK-77D KEYBOARD
•
12V DC PSU and POWER LEAD
•
ZoneVu NETWORK LEAD
•
INSTALLATION GUIDE

USER and CONFIGURATION GUIDE
Site the ZVK-77D in a suitable location paying particular
attention to current Health and Safety recommendations
concerning the use of keyboards.
Power-up the ZVK-77D by connecting it to the 12V DC
PSU.
BASIC CONFIGURATION
The ZVK-77D requires configuration of the following
parameters before use.

MAC address
•
Line termination setting
•
Operational Mode setting
To carry out this basic configuration LOG-ON to the
keyboard at Engineering Level (if you are uncertain how
to do this please read the relevant section in the ZVK-77D
User and Configuration Guide) select Program / Setup
and then select Network Setup. Now enter the relevant
MAC, Line term. and Mode parameters for your system.
MAC Address
The Module Access code or MAC is only required if the
ZVK-77D is to be connected to a system network. If
operated in Standalone mode it is irrelevant.
Line Termination
Where the ZVK-77D is connected on a system network
will determine whether termination should be on or off.
Generally only one piece of equipment should be
terminated on any particular network. If operated in
Standalone mode termination should be switched on.
Mode
The Mode of operation of the ZVK-77D should be set to
Network if it is to be connected to a ZoneVu system
containing a Video Matrix or Site Controller. Otherwise it
should be set to Standalone.

layout of the ZVK-77D and a table showing connection
details to other ZoneVu equipment.
