STEP 4: INSTALLING THE SIGNWAVE DISPLAY DEVICE

A. Connect the previously ran Ethernet (PoE) cable to the display device and carefully tuck it into the
bottom tray of the wall mount while performing the next step.
B. The SignWave display device in wall mount configuration has two keyholes in the back plate. Align
the keyholes with the barrel buttons protruding from the wall mount. Then, align the bottom of the
display so the left and right edge uprights on the wall mount slide into the display evenly as the
display is slid down over the barrel buttons and the wall mount uprights.
C. Once properly slid down along the wall mount the keyholes and uprights, the bottom screw holes on
the SignWave display device should align with the self-cinching nuts on the wall mount uprights.
Secure the display using two 6-32 flat-head screws (included). Ensure the screws do not cross-
thread in the nuts and do not over-torque. Standard Torque Value for 6-32 Stainless Screws is 10
inch-pounds. Without a torque wrench, install the screws with a screwdriver only and stop turning
as soon as tension increases.
Note: Over-torqueing can break the self-cinching nuts and require wall mount refurbishment!

FRAME MAINTENANCE

A. If the display device is disassembled or the frame requires realignment over the display, access may
be achieved by removing the display device from the wall mount and then removing the frame by
removing four 6-32 screws (two on each side).
B. Display internals may be accessed by first removing the frame as described above then removing the
six 6-32 screws securing the display to the back can.
C. When reassembling both the back can and the frame, be sure to install all screws loosely then
tighten gradually using the "manifold" method (crossing from side to side while tightening to
ensure proper metal to display alignment is maintained).
D. Never exceed 10 inch-pounds torque on any of the 6-32 screws and self-cinching nuts!
