STEP 1: DETERMINE THE INSTALLATION LOCATION

A . If the SignWave display device is to be installed in a public area for public use, please review all
information on
www.ada.gov
B . The standard SignWave wall mount is designed to allow one or two cables to pass through as
needed and utilizes four screws to secure.
As depicted in diagram below, determining the installation location requires understanding where
interconnections (Ethernet, PoE, and power) are possible. Cables must be fished through walls,
either in a conduit or simply in a stud bay, and exit through a hole cut in the wall.
C . It is recommended to cut the access hole in the wall for cabling at "single-gang" electrical box size
(to take advantage of hole cutting templates and standardization). The bottom of the cable hole
must not protrude below the bottom of the wall mount, and rather should align horizontally with
the bottom of the wall mount. Use the actual wall mount as a template to determine where the
bottom edge of the cable hole should be cut.
Note: The cable access ports in the wall mount and display device are located near the bottom
right corner (from a front view).
D. Use a 12" bubble level and the SignWave wall mount to mark the location of the four wall mounting
screw holes—be sure to align the cable access ports and the cable hole cut in the wall to achieve
proper positioning and ease of installation.
