BEFORE FIRST USE & BREWING COFFEE
Before first use
1. Clean the mug , mug lid , reusable mesh filter, and filter basket in warm , soapy
water , thoroughly rinse.
2. Brew two mugs of water according to the brewing co ee section but do not
add co ee grounds.
Brewing coffee
1. Lift the water reservoir lid and fill the water reservoir with 14oz of water (about
one full mug).
2. Put three tablespoons o nely ground co ee or four tablespoons of regular
ground co ee into the reusable mesh filter for a full mug of co ee .
Note: regular co ee grounds require more co ee per cup to achieve the
strength o ner co ee grounds.
3. Gently shake the mesh filter to distribute the co ee evenly.
4. Place the mesh filter into the filter basket and place filter basket into the
brewing chamber(see the figure).
5. Close the water reservoir lid.
6. Remove the lid from the mug and place the mug into the base.
7. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet.
8. Press the power switch setting to I , light will illuminate ,then press
start button; the indicator light will illuminate , verifying that the
CAUTION: DON'T OPEN THE RESERVOIR LID DURING THE BREW CYCLE, AS
SCALDING MAY OCCUR.
