ERIFICATION
Verification without an H2TU-C Line Unit
Verify that the H2TU-R powers up. The following should occur:
•
The front-panel ALM LED is a steady red.
•
The LOOP LED is flashing green.
•
If receiving a DS1 signal, one of the DS1 framing LEDs (ESF or SF) and one of the DS1 line code LEDs
(B8ZS or AMI) is a steady green.
Verification with an H2TU-C Line Unit

Verify that the H2TU-R powers up.
•
The front-panel ALM LED is a steady red.
•
The LOOP LED is flashing green.
•
If receiving a DS1 signal, one of the DS1 framing LEDs (ESF or SF) and one of the DS1 line code LEDs
(B8ZS or AMI) is a steady green.

Verify that the H2TU-R attempts to communicate with the line unit (LOOP LED is flashing green). One of
the following occurs:
•
If an upstream device is successfully identified and the HDSL2 loop synchronizes, the LOOP LED lights
a steady green.
•
If the line unit is not successfully identified, the H2TU-R continues to attempt communication (LOOP
LED flashes green) until a line unit is detected.
