8. UNIT PARAMETERS
RS-232 Signal Conversion
The LOW SPEED DATA unit is equipped with an Interface Assembly Board that
provides the necessary conversion for standard EIA RS-232/CCITT V.24
Transmit and Receive Data levels. The daughter board contains sixteen RS-232
drivers and receivers to provide the level conversion. The parameters for these
devices is shown in the following table:

RS-232 Signal Support
The LOW SPEED DATA unit supports the following EIA RS-232 signals for all
ports:

Transmit Data (TD)
•
Receive Data (RD)
•
Signal Ground (SG)
Each port is also equipped with a Control Lead labeled as Control In and Control
Out. These user defined signals can be configured for various applications as
outlined in the Unit Description section of the manual.
