ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION
WARNING:
•   Ensure that the rated voltage and
frequency correspond to those of the
specifications of the mains power
available.
•   The electrical connection must be
made according to current local
standards.
•   Before any intervention on the pump,
disconnect the electrical mains and
wait 2 min. before operating (the LINE
led must be off). Ensure that the elec-
trical power supply cannot be restored
inadvertently.
•   The electrical cables must be protect-
ed, in particular from high tempera-
tures, vibrations and impact, which
could cause mechanical or chemical
damage.
•   The electrical power line must be
fitted with a short circuit protection
device, and a residual current device
RCD with high sensitivity (30mA), pro-
tected by means of a slow-acting fuse
or thermal magnetic cut-out.
•   The electric power line must be fitted
with an external main switch with a
contact opening gap compliant with
current local standards.

Electrical connection

The system is pre-assembled on the
pump and therefore it is sufficient to in-
sert the plug in the mains socket.

OPERATION

Check of expansion tank with mem-
brane
Risk of injury! An excessively
high gas inlet pressure can
cause damage to the expansion
tank with membrane. The maximum ad-
missible operating pressure is specified
on the data plate of the tank and must
never be exceeded. During the filling pro-
cess, check the gas inlet pressure.
To ensure optimal operation of the au-
toclave, the gas inlet pressure in the ex-
pansion tank with membrane must be
proportionate to the intervention pres-
sure. The expansion tank has been pre-
charged in the factory with air and set at
a specific inlet pressure (see data plate of
the expansion tank).
Before start-up and after changing the set
point, it is recommended to check the gas
pressure again. Discharge the pressure
of the expansion tank with membrane on
the water side and use a pressure mea-
surement device to read the gas pressu-
re on the gas filling valve of the tank with
membrane.
The gas pressure value must corresponds
to approximately the pump intervention
pressure minus 10 %.
If the gas inlet pressure is too low, add air.
If the gas pressure value is too high, di-
scharge air via the valve.
Pump priming
The pump must only be started
up after it is filled with liquid.
If the pump has not been used
for a prolonged period, the filling
operation should be repeated
before starting up.
