FIRST USE

Before first use, ensure that the voltage, frequency and power of your appliance are suitable for your electrical supply.
Your appliance must be used with a power plug with an earth connection. It is a class I appliance.
Before switching on your appliance, ensure that :
• the appliance is completely assembled as described in the safety instructions,
• the appliance is placed on a stable, horizontal surface,
• the appliance is positioned in accordance with the instructions given in this manual,
• The air intake and outlet grills are completely unobstructed.
• Follow the instructions in figures 2.
When you use the appliance for the first time, it may temporarily release a faint odour and smoke (this is per-
fectly normal for new appliances: it will disappear after a few minutes).
Small noises can occur at each start of the appliance, a classic phenomenon and completely safe.
IMPORTANT : You are advised to unplug the appliance when not in use.
N.B. : In the event of abnormal overheating, safety devices automatically shut down the appliance and then
restart it once it has cooled down.
If the problem continues or gets worse, take the appliance to an approved service centre.
Appliances BU/GU27XX are equipped with a thermal fuse which shuts the appliance down completely if it is
faulty.
In addition, BU/GU27XX appliances are equipped with a circuit cutter that automatically stops the appliance in
case of tilting.
CAUTION: Risk of fire – Do not operate heater without wheel assemblies attached.
Operate heater in upright position only (wheels on bottom, controls on top). Any other position could create a
hazardous situation.

CLEANING
• Your appliance must be unplugged before proceeding with any cleaning work.
• You can clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
• IMPORTANT: Never use abrasive products which might damage the appearance of your appliance.
STORAGE
• It is important to allow the appliance to cool before winding the lead.
• When you are not using your appliance, store it in a dry place.
