positive side of the break (mA). (Reversing the
leads will give a negative reading, but will not
damage the Meter.)
6.: Turn on power to the circuit; then read the
display. Be sure to note the measurement
units at the right side of the display ( μ A, mA
or A). When only the figure "OL" displayed, it
indicates over-range situation and the higher
range has to be selected.
7.: Turn off power to the circuit and discharge all
high voltage capacitors. Remove the Meter
and restore the circuit to normal operation.
Warning: To avoid electrical shock and/or
damage to the instrument, disconnect circuit
power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors
before current measurement.
PC Link
The instrument is equipped with an optical
isolated
interface
communication. An optional PC interface kit is
required to connect the meter to the computer
with which the data analysis can be easily
accessible on the PC. Before connecting the
instrument to the computer, you need to install
the Maxwell PC-Link program from the attached
CD to your PC.
You can activate the connection by pushing the
"RS232" key after switching on the meter when
the RS232 appears on the screen.
