Failure to read these instructions prior to installation and use may result in damage to the control unit and or
the driven equipment and may render the warranty invalid
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
RELATING TO YOUR
SAFETY AT WORK
The owner, installer and user of any EnviroStart unit is responsible for its correct installation and use,
and must ensure that:
1.
Only qualified and suitably equipped persons with knowledge of motor control electronics should install the unit.
2.
No adjustments should be made with the unit in a "live" condition.
3.
The installation complies with the information contained on this Quick Installation Guide and more importantly with the details contained
within the full Installation and Commissioning Guide available from the EMS (European) web site at http://www.EnviroStart.com. Should
you not be able to download a copy of this document then a full copy of the relevant handbook is available from EMS (European) Ltd.

The operation, use and maintenance of the unit must comply with all relevant local and international Codes of Practice relating to power
electrical installations as well as Statutory Safety Requirements and Statutory Installation Requirements.

No changes should be made to the unit outside of the scope of its installation without express written permission of the manufacturers EMS
(European) Ltd.
EMS (European) Ltd, or their agents, assume no liability, expressed or implied, for any consequences
resulting from inappropriate, negligent or incorrect installation, application, use or adjustment of the
product or circuit design, or from the mismatch of the unit to its application. This statement in no way

- Page 2 WARNING STARTING AND STOPPING ENVIROSTART UNITS To start the EnviroStart MEC or SS provide a legitimate start signal to connectors 1 to 4 on the terminal block, EnviroStart should start at the programmed settings. In the case of MEC and SS units the mains supply and the motor must be ENVIROSTART MUST BE EARTHED.
