Desk-Side/Rack-Mount Conversion Process
This document provides information for converting your workstation from a desk-side system to
a rack-mounted system and from a rack-mount system to a desk-side system. You can find more
detailed information in the Technical Reference for the J6000 located at this web site:
www.hp.com/visualize/support/

Desk Side to Rack Mount Conversion

To convert your desk-side system to a rack-mount system, you will need to order the rack-mount
kit (HP Part Number: A5993A) from your local HP Sales Representative. Rack-mount to desk-
side instructions are on the last page.
1. Unplug the workstation, remove from pedestal, remove bezel and vents. See Figure 1.

2. Remove the workstation's plastic cosmetic covers from the workstation. See Figure 2. The
same process is used for both covers.

3. Follow the instructions on the subsequent pages for rack mounting your system:
READ BEFORE INSTALLING
Press snaps and push cover forward, and lift straight up.
!!Do not rotate cover
when removing!!
