Video BIOS

The board has a flash video BIOS that can be updated like a system BIOS,
using a flash utility. This is achieved as follows:
1 Create a DOS boot diskette, and copy the following files to it:
• xxxxxxxx.bin (a binary file whose name depends on the version)
• dos4gw.exe
• progbios.exe
• updbios.bat
2 Switch off the PC, insert the boot diskette, and switch on the PC.
3 Run the
updbios.bat
4 Switch off the PC, and take out the boot diskette, and switch on the PC.
Executing
progbios.exe -d
The video BIOS revision number can be checked by clicking on the MGA
control panel.
