Phoenix BIOS

Phoenix BIOS
VEi 7 PCs contain a standard Phoenix BIOS (Basic Input Output
System). This should not be confused with the HP/Phoenix BIOS found
on some Vectra PCs and which includes additional features added by
Hewlett-Packard. The BIOS provides an interface between the
computer hardware and the operating system. The System ROM
contains the POST (power-on self-test) routines, and the BIOS: the
System BIOS, video BIOS and low option ROM.
The system BIOS is identified by the version number HX.07.xx. The
latest BIOS version for your PC and instructions for updating the BIOS
can be downloaded from the HP support Web site at:
www.hp.com/go/vectrasupport
