GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Never aim a laser beam at people or animals. Do not stare into
the laser beam. The laser is class two and emits a beam of the
wavelength and power specifi ed in the technical data table. Such
a beam does not pose a threat, but aiming it directly at the eyeball
may cause eye damage. Do not try to disassemble the device
yourself, as it could expose you to laser radiation. Do not modify
the device, especially the laser system. Do not use the device
in an environment where the ambient temperature is outside the
operating range. If the device is stored in temperature beyond the
operating range, wait until the distance meter reaches the tem-
perature within the operating range, before using it. The product
is resistant to water and dust ingress to the extent specifi ed by
the protection rating. Never immerse the product in water or any
other liquid. Do not place the device with other tools in the toolbox.
Impacts can damage the distance meter. Transport the device in
the supplied case. Remove the battery from the device if it will
not be used for a longer time. Do not store the distance meter
at temperatures above 50
C, as this can damage the LCD. Use

a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth to clean the device. The laser
beam must reach its target, then refl ect and return to the device.
As a result, the measurement conditions are subject to limitations.
Too bright light at the measuring point or too refl ective a surface,
e.g., glass, can make measurement diffi cult or impossible. In this
case, change the measurement conditions or select the appropri-
ate measurement method.

DEVICE OPERATION

Installing and replacing batteries (II)
Open the battery compartment cover located in the bottom back
part of the device. To do this, loosen the screw fi xing the cover.
Install the batteries in the seats observing the correct polarity. Al-
ways change both batteries at the same time. In order to ensure
the correct and longest possible operation of the device, it is rec-
ommended to use renowned alkaline batteries. The device has a
low battery indicator on the display, the fewer rectangles fi lling the
battery symbol, the more discharged the batteries.
Switching the device on and off
Press and hold the switch until the display appears to start the
device.
With the distance meter on, press the power switch again to start
measuring the distance.
A short press of the power switch allows you to return to the pre-
viously selected device function.
To switch the device off , press and hold the power switch until the
display goes out.
With the device turned on, pressing and holding the switch for ap-
prox. 3 seconds will turn on the cross laser. The pointer displays
two lines perpendicular to each other. The cross line laser turns
off by pressing the switch.
Changing the unit of measure
With the distance meter on, press and hold the unit of measure
changing button. Release the button after the unit of measure has
been changed on the display.
Single measurement mode
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button. Two setting
