Avoid placing the drive in a location that is subject to high
humidity, extreme temperatures, mechanical vibration, or direct
sunlight.

Clean the panel and controls with a soft, dry cloth or with a soft
cloth moistened lightly with a mild detergent solution. Never use
spray cleaning fluids directly on the unit.
I
Avoid using any type of solvent, such as alcohol or benzene,
which can damage the finish.
I
If any object or liquid falls into the drive, unplug the computer
immediately and have it checked by an authorized Compaq
Service Provider.
