Approach control warning
with light braking function
Principle
The Approach control warning with light brak-
ing function warns of a possible risk of collision
and may brake independently.
In the event of an accident, the system may re-
duce impact speed.
General information
Sensors detect the traffic situation.
The system issues a warning of a possible risk
of collision with vehicles at speeds above ap-
prox. 3 mph/5 km/h. The timing of warnings
may vary with the current driving situation.
The driver's own driving behavior is taken into
account in the reactions of the system, e.g., if
you deliberately approach a vehicle, the For-
ward Collision Warning and the brake interven-
tion will take place later.
Safety information
Follow the safety information in Chapter "For-
ward Collision Mitigation".
Display in the instrument cluster
A warning symbol is displayed when a collision
with a detected vehicle is imminent.
