Using the Flash

When the red-eye reduction
function* is on
* This feature reduces the effect of light reflecting back from the eyes and making them
appear red.
Distance ranges for shooting with the flash are 55 cm to 4.2 m (1.8 ft. to
13.8 ft.) (W) and 55 cm to 2.0 m (1.8 ft. to 6.6 ft.) (T).
The flash cannot be used in the
modes.

The flash may take up to approximately 10 seconds to charge. Actual
times will vary according to usage and the battery charge.
