Use Manual Focus when recording
• a subject through glass.
• a subject with a nearby foreground and
background far from the Palmcorder.
• a subject with distinct horizontal stripes.
(only PV-23-K)
• a subject that is not in the centre of the
Viewfinder.
• subjects with shiny surfaces.
• an obliquely angled subject.
a flat subject such as a white wall.
in low light situations.
• a scene with fast motions, like a golf swing.
R�focusing may be required
when your Palmcorder is aimed at a new
scene.
Special Features
Auto Focus
The Palmcorder will automatically bring the
subject into focus even during zooming.
Press the FOCUS button so that the letters
"MF" do not appear in the EVF.
Manual Focus
1 AUTO LOCK �
Set the AUTO LOCK switch to
"NORMAL."

Press FOCUS so that
"MF' (Manual Focus)
appears in the EVF.

Press and hold the "T" side of the
POWER ZOOM switch until the subject to
be recorded is at maximum zoom-in .
Turn the
picture is in focus.
It may be necessary to back away from
the subject to focus the image properly.

Press the "W" side of the POWER ZOOM
switch to frame the picture as desired .
Macro Focus (for close-ups)
Auto Focus will function down to 3/4" in front
of the lens.
Press the "W" side of the POWER ZOOM
switch to the wide angle position.
Bring the Palmcorder as close to the
subject as necessary.
