Control Stop Valve Operation

NOTICE: Refer to this section throughout the Maintenance Guide
when instructed to close and open the control stop valve.
General Adjustment Instructions
Use a strap wrench to remove the vandal-resistant cap from the
control stop valve.
Close the stop valve by turning the valve screw clockwise as far
as it can go.
Open the stop valve by turning the valve screw counterclockwise
as far as it can go.
When done, place the stop cap on the control stop valve and
tighten using a strap wrench.
Control Stop Adjustment
NOTE: To adjust the control stop to achieve peak performance of 25
gpm (95 lpm) perform the steps below.
Use a strap wrench to remove the vandal-resistant cap from the
control stop valve.
Close the control stop (clockwise) all the way.
Open the control stop 1/4 turn (counterclockwise).
Test flush the fixture.
Repeat until excessive splashing occurs during the flush.
