Be sure to have your installer follow these instructions closely so that your new washing machine works properly and so that you’re not at risk of injury when doing laundry. setting up your washing machine MEEtinG instALLAtion rEQuirEMEnts Electrical supply and grounding Never use an extension cord. Use only the power cord that comes with your washing machine. WArninG When preparing for installation, ensure that your power supply offers: • AC 220-240V / 60Hz fuse or circuit breaker • Individual branch circuit serving only your washing machine Your washing machine must be grounded. If your washing machine malfunctions or breaks down, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electric current.

Drain Samsung recommends a standpipe height of 65cm. The drain hose must be routed through the drain hose clip to the standpipe. The standpipe must be large enough to accept the outside diameter of the drain hose. Slide the washing machine into position. 2. Level your washing machine by turning the levelling feet in and out as necessary by hand.

First, using a ‘+’ type screwdriver, loosen the four screws on the adaptor. Next, take the adaptor and turn part (2) following the arrow until there is a 5 mm gap. 5 mm 3. Connect the adaptor to the water tap by tightening the screws firmly while lifting the adaptor upwards. Turn part (2) following the arrow and connect (1) and (2).

Do not use your washing machine if there is a water leak. This may cause electric shock or injury. WArninG • If the water tap has a screw type tap, connect the water supply hose to the tap as shown. Use the most conventional type of tap for the water supply. In case the tap is square or too big, remove the spacing ring before inserting the tap into the adaptor. Over the edge of a wash basin: The drain hose must be placed at a height of between 60 and 90 cm. To keep the drain hose spout bent, use the supplied plastic hose guide. Secure the guide to the wall with a hook or to the tap with a piece of string to prevent the drain hose from moving.

Child lock The Child Lock function allows you to lock the buttons so that the wash cycle you’ve chosen can’t be changed. Activating/Deactivating If you want to activate or deactivate the Child Lock function, press the Temp. and Rinse buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. “Child Lock ” will be lit when this feature is activated. When the Child Lock function is activated, only the power button works. The Child Lock function remains on even after the power is turned on and off or after the disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord.

However, the “ECO Drum Clean” indicator on the display and the lamp on the Cycle Selector are turned on again after two washes are performed. However, this will not result in a problem with the washing machine. • Although generally, the ECO Drum Clean Auto Alarm appears once a month or so, the frequency may differ depending on the number of times the washing machine is used.

ADVERTÊNCIA Ao se preparar para uma instalação, certiﬁque-se de que sua rede elétrica ofereça: • Fusível ou disjuntor CA 220-240V / 60Hz • Circuito de ramiﬁcação individual que atenda apenas à sua máquina É necessário aterrar sua lavadora de roupas. Caso sua máquina apresente mau funcionamento ou quebre, o aterramento reduzirá o risco de choque elétrico pois fornece um caminho de menos resistência para a corrente elétrica. Seu aparelho é equipado com um cabo de alimentação com um plugue de aterramento de três pinos, para uso em uma tomada corretamente instalada e aterrada.
Page 59 Drenagem A Samsung recomenda uma altura de cano vertical de 65cm. É necessário que a mangueira de drenagem seja direcionada através do prendedor da mangueira de drenagem até o cano vertical. O cano vertical deve ser grande o suﬁ ciente para aceitar o diâmetro externo da mangueira de drenagem. A mangueira de drenagem é encaixada na fábrica. Piso Para um melhor desempenho, a lavadora deve ser instalada em um piso de construção sólida. Os pisos de madeira podem precisar de reforço para minimizar a vibração e/ou cargas desequilibradas. Os carpetes e superfícies de lajotas moles contribuem para a existência de vibração e para a tendência da sua lavadora fazer leves movimentos durante o ciclo de centrifugação.

Page 79 A função Alarme automático da Auto limpeza • Se a luz do indicador “Auto limpeza” no display e a lâmpada no Seletor de ciclos estiverem acesas depois de uma lavagem, isso indica que é necessário fazer a limpeza do tambor. Neste caso, remova as roupas da lavadora, ligue a energia e limpe o tambor realizando o ciclo de Auto limpeza.
Page 80 Limpeza e manutenção de sua lavadora LIMPEZA DO fILTRO DE DETRITOS Recomendamos limpar o ﬁltro de detritos 5 ou 6 vezes por ano ou quando a mensagem de erro "5E” for exibida. (Consulte “Como fazer a drenagem da lavadora de roupas em uma emergência”, na página anterior.) Se substâncias estranhas ﬁcarem acumuladas no ﬁltro de detritos, o desempenho da função de bolhas ﬁ cará reduzido. Antes de limpar o ﬁltro de detritos, certiﬁque-se de desconectar o cabo de força.
