7. Disconnect the LED board cable 1 from the system board
and remove the cable from the clip in the top cover.

8. Disconnect the display lid switch module cable 2 from the
display lid switch module.
9. Lift the front edge of the top cover 3 until the TouchPad
cable 4 is accessible.
10. Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the low insertion force
(LIF) connector on the system board.
11. Remove the top cover 5.
Removing the Top Cover
Reverse the above procedure to install the top cover.
Maintenance and Service Guide
The LED board cable is included in the Miscellaneous
Cable Kit, spare part number 344851-001. The LED
board is included with the top cover.
