5. Reinstall the computer cover and reconnect the cables. For details, see "Completing the parts
replacement" on page 131.
System fan
Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer.
2. Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
3. Remove the computer cover. For details, see "Computer cover" on page 95.
4. Remove the internal speaker if necessary. For details, see "Internal speaker" on page 100.
5. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system fan connector on the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 32.
6. Replace the system fan.
