PREPARATION FOR OPERATION:

The blower is delivered partly assembled in a transportation package.
After having the device unpacked check completeness of the kit and fit
the non-assembled parts in accordance with the manual.
NOTE: Prior to any assembly of adjustment operations
make sure that the device is unplugged from the
electric power network.

UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY:

WARNING! Operation of the blower is not allowed when the pipe or the
waste bag are not in place.
Installation of the blowing and suction pipe
n
Connect the bottom part (1) of the pipe with its top part (2) by pushing
the bottom part into the top one until locking. The connected parts must
be secured with used of the fixing screw (see Fig. A).
Insert the assembled pipe into the device housing (Fig. A) and secure
against unintentional disconnection by means of two screws (14)
located at the both sides of the housing (see Fig. D).
To disconnect the pipe it is first necessary to unscrew the fixing screws.
NOTE! Prior to dismantling the pipe the machine must be switched off and
disconnected from the source of electric power.
Installation of the waste bag (see Fig. A)
n
Suspend the bag lug on the hook attached to the pipe. Then slide the bag
inlet sleeve onto the discharge nozzle (9) until locking.
To detach the waste bag (10) gently squeeze the locking pins of the
sleeve, unlock the clamp and slide out the inlet sleeve of the bag.
Attachment of the shoulder belt (see Fig. A)
n
Snap the shoulder belt (13) to its lug on the main handle and adjust its
length as desired.
CONNECTION TO THE ELECTRIC NETWORK:
The blower is designed for operation with power voltage from the 230 V
electric grid. Do never attempt to supply the device from another voltage
source.
Prior to connecting the device make sure that parameters of the device
specified on its rating plate correspond to the ones of the voltage source.
NOTE! Check condition of the power cord before plugging it into the electric
outlet. Operation of the device with faulty or damaged power cord is
forbidden.
Extension cable
n
While working with the blower on the open area it is necessary to use
appropriate electric extension cables purposefully dedicated for such
applications. To avoid unintended disconnection of the electric line make
a loop at the end of the extension cable (16) and attach it to the
dedicated bracket (15) according to Fig. E. Operators should put the
extension cable over a shoulder to the back and pay attention to always
keep the cable behind the machine (see Fig. F).
Electric safety can be improved by application of a residual current device
(RDA) with the residual current of 30 mA.
OPERATION:
Switching the device on and off
n
To switch the device on and off one has to use the trigger (6) (see Fig. D).
The desired operation mode of the device (blowing or suction) should be
selected before the machine is switched on.
Selection of the operation mode
n
The operation mode can be selected with use of the dedicated selector
switch (8).
In order to select the operation mode of «Blowing» set the selector
switch next to the symbol of «blowing»
To switch the device over to the mode of «Collection and chopping» the
selector switch must be rotated to the symbol of «suction»
NOTE! Prior to switching the device over to the blowing mode the operator
must empty the waste bag. Otherwise the already collected wastes may be
blown out from the bag.
Adjustment of the blowing /suction pressure (possible only for
n
the TOE2401 version)
Blowing /suction pressure can be adjusted with use of the rotation speed
control knob (4). Rotation speed can be infinitely varied within the range
from 9000 to 15000 rpm. To select the necessary rotation speed the
control knob should be set accordingly against the scale from 1 to 6.
It is reasonable to set the rotation speed as low as is indispensable if
higher values of rpm are not necessary.
General rules for the device operation
n
NOTE! Prior to switching the blower on hold it firmly with two hands.
Length of the shoulder belt should be accordingly adjusted so that the
pipe is guided right above the ground level. In order to alleviate
encumbrance to the operator and to facilitate guiding of the pipe on the
ground, the device is provided with wheels (12) attached to the pipe
bottom end (see Fig. F – G).
The garden sweeper /blower must be operated in strict adherence to
relevant instructions and guidelines contained in this User Manual. The
machine is designed with the purpose to enable its operation by
operators standing upright. Any other position of the operator's body is
inappropriate and is associated with possible injuries. Do never switch
the blower on when it lies on its side or is put upside down.
Emptying the waste bag
n
In order to maintain high suction pressure and enable effortless
operation of the device it is recommended to empty the waste bag every
time when it is half-full. It helps to maintain low total weight of the
device and full suction pressure of the device.
Prior to emptying the bag it is necessary to switch the blower off and
unplug the power cord form the electric outlet. Take the bag out of the
blower and empty its content by unfastening the zip (11) placed at the
bottom of the bag. Prior to reinstallation of the bag clean the discharge
nozzle (9) of the blower housing. Remember to fasten the zip back before
the blower is switched on.

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE:

NOTE! Prior to commencement of any maintenance jobs, switch the device
off and make sure that it is disconnected from the source of power voltage.
WARNING! Take care to avoid moistening of the blower. Do never spray it
with water.
In general, the machine needs no dedicated maintenance. To guarantee
safe and efficient operation clean the device immediately after each use.
Use a brush to clean dirty components and ventilation slots.
To clean the device housing use a wet clothe with a gentle cleaning
agent. It is forbidden to use solvents or other chemicals that may damage
plastic components.
To avoid development of mould and unpleasant odour detach the waste
