Failure to observe this warning can result in severe injury or death.
• Do not attempt to repair this unit. It contains no user-serviceable parts.
• Do not expose the unit to extremes in temperature or high humidity.

• This tool is designed to test 15 A and 20 A, 120 VAC single-phase
AFCI and GFCI equipment only.
• The Polarity feature does not perform a comprehensive diagnostic
test; it performs a simple test to detect nearly all probable common
improper wiring conditions.
• Refer all indicated problems to a qualified electrician.
• This tool will not indicate the quality of ground, detect two hot wires in
a circuit, detect a combination of defects, or detect reversal of
grounded and grounding conductors.
• This tool simulates a certain type of arc and cannot represent all
arcing conditions. An AFCI that fails the AFI-100 test but passes the
button test may be operating properly.
