Changing the handset name
Each handset can be given a
customized name ("Bob", "Kitchen",
etc.). This is useful when you make
intercom calls between handsets. You
can also select whether or not the
handset name is displayed in standby
mode. The default setting is "Off". If
you select "On" without entering any
handset name, "Handset 1" to
"Handset 6" is displayed.

Call block (Caller ID
subscribers only)
This feature allows the unit to reject calls
when:
– the unit receives a call from a phone
number stored in the call block list as
unwanted ("Storing unwanted callers",
page 51).
– the unit receives a call without phone
number ("Block calls without phone
number", page 52).
When a call is received, the unit rings for
a short time while the caller is being
identified. If the phone number matches
an entry in the call block list:
– cellular calls are rejected.
– landline calls are disconnected after
the unit first sends out a busy tone to
the caller.

number that is stored in the call block
