Alternatively, any of the chord replacement neckband or lavalier microphones which terminate to a mono 3.5mm plug may be used.

However, any transmitter or receiver can only operate on one frequency at a time. Where there is only one speech or audio signal, the selectable channels are only needed if there is interference on one of the carrier frequencies.
