Do not subject to strong vibration, shock, or

pressure. These may cause malfunction or damage.
– Don't press hard on the lens.
Take care not to drop or bump the lens when carrying it.

– When carrying the digital camera with the lens
attached, hold both the lens and the digital camera to
carry them.
– Take care not to drop or bump the bag in which you have put
the lens.
When there is dirt (water, oil, and fingerprints, etc.) on the

surface of the lens, the images may be affected. Lightly wipe
the surface of the lens with a soft, dry cloth before and after
recording.
When the lens is not in use, be sure to attach the lens

cap and lens rear cap to prevent dust and other
particles from accumulating on or entering the lens.
To protect the lens contact

points (A), do not do the
following. These may
cause malfunction.
– Touch the lens contact
points.
– Allow the lens contact
points to become dirty.
– Place the lens with its
mount surface facing
down.
